Teacher Professional Development Workshops
Since 1990, approximately 340 schools have relied on Churchill to provide their
teachers with in-depth training on the challenges faced by people with learning
disabilities. Participants attain strategies for teaching all kinds of learners
and have opportunities to practice new techniques while in the workshop.

- Curriculum Adaptations–learn different methods for adapting classroom materials to increase opportunities for student success
- Attention Deficit Disorder–increase your understanding of ADD/ADHD and learn techniques to help these students
- Notetaking and Study Skills–learn and utilize effective notetaking strategies and techniques from both a textbook and a lecture format
- Demystification–help students understand their own learning needs, strengths and weaknesses so they can advocate for themselves
- Math–rediscover proven methods and techniques that increase long-term retention of math skills
- Written Language–discover strategies to engage struggling students with skills to improve their ability to communicate in written form
- Homework–examine and then design homework that is meaningful for students
