Parent Education Workshops
Parents are often exasperated, unsure of how to best help their children. Yet research shows that helping students achieve requires a team approach that includes parents. The Parent Education Workshops give parents a deeper understanding of the appropriate expectations for their child, and offer strategies they can use to inspire their child to become an independent learner.

Parent Education Workshop Topics:
  • Understanding Learning Disabilities–parents explore and experience the world through the eyes, ears and hands of a learning disabled child
  • Homework Tips–strategies, tips and techniques to help parents structure the homework environment so students can become independent learners
  • Demystification–parents learn communication skills to help their child advocate for their individual strengths and weaknesses
  • Attention Deficit Disorder–parents explore the warning signs and symptoms detailing the challenges many children with ADD/ADHD face
