Churchill hosted Rossman and Rohan Woods schools for the 3/4 and 5/6 track meets. Many of Churchill's kids bettered their best efforts in both the field and the track events. It was great to have so many supporters come watch-students, teachers and parents!
The entire school had the opportunity to watch the five upper school teams challenge each other in the track and field events. Ten of the seventeen records were broken! Profound performances, some for first place, and some for finishing, were done during the meet. The entire group, athletes and spectators were excited to the point of oohs and ahhhs. Whether it was the high jumping or the relays, everyone was a part of the event. See the Pictures (Opens New Window) |

Every Churchill student had a piece of artwork on display at the 4th Annual Churchill Art Fair at Plaza Frontenac. On Friday evening the choir gave an uplifting performance. Many parents and mall patrons gathered to hear beautiful singing and to check out the amazing artistic talent of our students, ranging from their colorful painted shoes to their decorative paper mache masks.

The 3/4 students have been studying about Missouri, its history and geography, in Social Studies this semester. They recently went on a field trip to Faust Park to visit Old Missouri and see what it was like to live 200 years ago in the new frontier. The students were able to connect what they learned in class to the real-life, hands-on experiences offered at the park.

Mrs. O'Daniell's 3/4, 5A, and 6A groups just completed the "Doodle4Google" contest! Google asked students of all ages to design a Google logo that answered the question "If I could do anything, I would...". From the start of the brainstorming through the completetion of the final product, the students put everything they had into the concept, design, and explantation. Take a look at the stunning results!

On a bright and sunny November morning Churchill opened its doors and welcomed Grandparents and Friends to our school. The morning began with a pancake breakfast by Chris Cakes, who entertained the crowd by flipping pancakes, and encouraging guests to catch their breakfast. Grandparents and Friends experienced a special treat when the 15 member Churchill Choir performed – much to their delight. Following the performance, grandparents and friends gathered in the Commons to hear siblings Greg and Nikki Davis speak about their experiences with dyslexia. The morning ended with students giving their grandparent/friend a quick tour of the school.
